Many games have a fan base, including games in a casino online, and video game developers release their games early for pre-order. It is a way to measure market interest, so they would know how many discs to manufacture or so they can project sales and do something about their marketing. Today, let us look at some highly anticipated games already available in pre-order before their respective release dates.

1. Forspoken

Release Date: January 24, 2023

Forspoken is a game from Square Enix, the same studio that brought us Hitman. The story follows the journey of Frey, a New Yorker who was magically transported to a land called Athia. As she finds her way home, she must use her magical abilities to fight enemies like monsters and make her way through the harsh landscape. Forspoken is currently only available on PC and PS5. However, it works on Windows, and one can pre-order the game from Steam.

2. Gotham Knights

Release Date: October 25, 2022

Fans of the caped crusader are in for a big RPG experience with Gotham Knights, where they can take the mantle of different superheroes. In Gotham Knights, the players will see storylines from the perspective of:

  • Nightwing
  • Batgirl
  • Robin
  • Red Hood.

The story involves these heroes restoring justice in Gotham City during a period after the death of Batman. But then, Batman’s death is still a mystery, and it is unconfirmed. He just disappeared. The story also brings to life the Court of Owls, one of the most formidable enemies of the Bat Family. As a player, you will fight Talons, the assassins of the Court of Owls.

What players will love in this game is that each hero character has a unique fighting playstyle. For example, Robin can teleport from one place to another while the others cannot. You can also use vehicles such as the Batcycle. The game also gives you the option to level up your character. However, know that your enemies will also level up if you do this.

In addition, you have the option to play in cooperative mode with another player, which makes the game more fun. If you want, though, you can play it solo. The good news is that the coop mode does not affect the gameplay. You can still advance through the game even if the other player drops off.

3. The Callisto Protocol

Release Date: December 2, 2022

The Callisto Protocol is a 3rd-person survival game that follows the tradition of Resident Evil. The game is set 300 years in the future. Here, you take the mantle of a character named Jacob Lee. Jacob’s background is that he is an ex-convict. Since the game happens in the future, the prisoners are in Jupiter’s Moon, Callisto.

The story begins as the inmates transform into monsters, except for you and a few others. You must fight these monsters and find a way to escape. As you do so, you will eventually find out that dark secrets are happening in prison. The Callisto Protocol is unique in its approach as it features themes in outer space. Be prepared, though, as it features a lot of gore, horror, violence and brutality.

What you need to master in this game is the use of hand-to-hand combat. The game allows players to use weapons, but there are also close combat situations and playstyle available to you. You need to learn how to adapt, use weapons, gears, etc.

4. God of War Ragnarök

Release Date: November 9, 2022

Following the adventures of Kratos, this game is the ninth installment in the series, God of War. This game comes from Santa Monica Studio, and the publisher is Sony. It is set for release on PS4 and PS5.

The game takes place three years after the last installment. Here, you will find that there are signs of the coming Ragnarok. Kratos and his teenage son now must travel to the nine realms. The goal is to do what you can to prevent Ragnarok from happening. The journey is long, but you will have to speak to the Norse God of War, and also have a conflict with Thor, the God of Thunder. Players will find it a surprise that one previous ally, Freya, is now an enemy.

The game will have several versions. One is the standard version, and the others are the collector’s editions. There are two types of the collector’s edition. One is the “Jötnar Edition”, and the other is simply called “Collector’s Edition.” Both these editions have Thor’s hammer and a steel book game case. There is also a plan to release a launch edition, and this one has DLCs. There will also be a Deluxe Edition that includes other DLCs.

These games are now available for pre-order on their respective sites and partner game channels like Steam. Before you buy, make sure you read the reviews of the game’s predecessors. If you are already a fan, then these reviews are not as important.
